Cup Song in Irish: A little bit of beautiful

My children sang this all the way to school today. They didn’t have cups, so they kicked the car seats in front of them.

It was an awesome way to start the day.

I am in love with this version of the song. It’s from the Coláiste Lurgan School, located in Indreabhán, in the Irish-speaking area of Connemara, Co Galway. The videos are designed to connect younger generations with their mother tongue. Everyone involved is a volunteer: students, school staff, and local professionals. Pretty cool.

All day I’ll be humming.

When I’m gone (when I’m gone)
When I’m gone (when I’m gone)
You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone

You’re gonna miss me by my hair
You’re gonna miss me everywhere
You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone

When I’m gone
When I’m gone
You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone

You’re gonna miss me by my walk
You’ll miss me by my talk
You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone
